Elizabeth Bartlett, Owner

Elizabeth BartlettElizabeth is an alumnus of the University of Illinois and a former corporate IT program manager who experienced an epiphany during her entry into mid-life.

“There must be a better way to live”, were the words that came to her. “There must be a way that is more rewarding and less stressful; a way to give back; a caring way that I can make a living.”

After this realization, everything fell into place. Elizabeth is now the proud owner of three Comfort Keepers offices, in Bridgewater, Morristown and Parsippany, NJ. Her favorite part of being a Comfort Keepers owner is meeting with families, answering their questions and helping them put a plan in place to keep their loved ones safe and happy at home. Elizabeth lives in Basking Ridge, NJ with her daughter, Emily, and Chihuahua, Nellie.

He has high energy and loves working with people. Stephen was a caregiver for nine years and has extensive experience with clients who have Cerebral Palsy. He began working for Comfort Keepers in 2010 and has worked in two Comfort Keepers offices assisting with start up and growth.

Javani Cabeza, Client Care Manager

Javani CabezaJavani was born and raised in Bronx, NY, and moved to New Jersey with her 8-year-old daughter to establish a new life in a better environment. She was a stay-at-home mom and at that time decided to rejoin the work force.

Javani pursued the health care field because of her passion for helping people. She cared for her grandparents for many years and realized how much she enjoys assisting the elderly. After researching many companies, she came across Comfort Keepers and was impressed by the client testimonials and knew this is where she wanted to work.

Javani achieved her CHHA license and was offered a job working with Comfort Keepers. She started working in the field and is now Client Care Manager where she engages with clients and Comfort Keepers (caregivers) daily.

Although she enjoys working in the field, she loves the fact she was offered an opportunity to work with the office staff. Her experience with Comfort Keepers has been one of her best experiences!

Carol Troise, HR Coordinator

Carol Troise HR CoordinatorCarol was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to Middlesex, NJ, with her husband and 5-year-old daughter, along with her mom and aunt, into a mother and daughter duplex. According to Carol, “It was so wonderful to be all together and help each other, especially as they got up in age and needed assistance with daily life activities.”  Carol and her husband have been blessed with two adorable grandchildren, ages 8 and 6, who they adore and spoil terribly.

Carol retired from AT&T after a long career in customer service and project management. Since she now had plenty of free time and enjoys helping people, she pursued a longing desire to work in home healthcare.  She had experience taking care of her mom and aunt, as well as having hired a family friend to help when she had to work. Says Carol, “… I felt this was my way of giving back. I searched the web and was intrigued after reviewing the Comfort Keepers website. I called my local Comfort Keepers office seeking part time work as a companion caregiver. As it turned out, I was offered a position as Human Resources Coordinator, which affords me the opportunity to interact with both caregivers and clients.  Observing all that goes on behind the scenes, I have a newfound appreciation for the skills and effort executed to ensure the most suitable home health aide arrives at our client’s homes on time and ready to work.  Working at Comfort Keepers has been a positive experience in my life for which I am truly grateful.”

Peggie Griswold, On-Call Staff Member & Administrative Assistant

Peggie GriswoldPeggie was born and raised in Minnesota but moved to Sussex County 16 years ago with her husband and 2-year old daughter. The 10 years that followed, she was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom for her two wonderful kids. Since Peggie was familiar with caring for children, she eased back into the workforce by working at a nursery school.

After working at the school for several years, Peggie began her search for a job with more hours, and thus, found Comfort Keepers. She has been with the company for two years and has several roles within the agency. Since Peggie is a certified aide, she is capable of caring for any client and prepared for emergencies. On the days she is not with a client, she works in the Morristown office.

Though Peggie has cared for people in numerous age groups, she finds that caring for senior citizens is very rewarding. “I love to inquire about different aspects of their lives and uncover their wealth of knowledge and wisdom,” says Peggie. “They, too, love to share their stories and histories, and it’s the bond of mutual interest that I think is so essential to being a Comfort Keeper.”
